RETELEC System renews its commitment to sport with the official presentation of the Retelec Team Cycling Galicia

Committed to sport and the values ​that this activity promotes, Retelec System once again adds its sponsorship to the Retelec Team Cycling Galicia cycling team. In an event held this weekend in the Pontevedra town of Redondela, the company has officially presented the team with which to aspire to important sporting triumphs throughout 2022.​

The presentation was attended by representatives of various Galician institutions, including the mayor of Redondela, Digna Rivas; the deputy of Social Cohesion of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, Olga M. García; and the head of the Pontevedra Sports Service of the Xunta de Galicia, Daniel Benavides; in addition to Juan Carlos Muñiz, president of the Galician Cycling Federation. The top managers of Retelec also attended the event: Jesús Palacios, Amador Valbuena and Fernando Flores, administrator, general director and commercial director, respectively.

The Retelec Alca Team Cycling Galicia team stands out for its multiculturalism and youth, with an average of 22 years old. An example of how to combine the experience of veteran cyclists with young ones, resulting in a very competitive team of 18 athletes made up of 9 Spanish, 4 Portuguese, 3 British, 1 Colombian and 1 Dutch. Each member is a specialist in different cycling disciplines, such as climber, time trial, time trials, cyclocross, team pursuit, sprinter, etc.

At the presentation event, the top officials of Retelec explained the motivation that led them to sponsor cycling for another year. In the words of Amador Valbuena, general director: “Retelec identifies its values ​as a company with those of cycling: team, improvement, setting goals and achieving them, etc. A living example that inspires all the company's employees, and that drives our brand to overcome all the challenges it sets itself with passion and energy."​

A very tight 2022 sports calendar awaits the team sponsored by RETELEC System, starting with two cups in Galicia: Vigo and Padrón, in addition to the Volta Ciclista a Galicia, in the Volta a Provincia da Coruña and in the Vuelta a Zamora, in addition to the Tour of Madrid.
